Clinical Supervision
Grow as a Relational &
Systemic Therapist
Whether you're working toward LMFT licensure in Pennsylvania or looking to deepen your systemic thinking, supervision can be much more than case consultation. It can be a space for curiosity, reflection, clinical growth, and professional development.
I'm a Turkish American Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, founder of Praxis Relationship Therapy, an AAMFT Clinical Fellow, and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor in Training. I provide supervision under the mentorship of Taniek Gentles, LMFT, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist.
Taniek was my on-site supervisor during my clinical training in Drexel University's Marriage and Family Therapy program. Her mentorship has had a lasting impact on my development as a therapist and supervisor, and I am grateful to continue learning under her guidance.
What is an AAMFT Clinical Fellow?
The AAMFT Clinical Fellow designation is the highest level of clinical membership awarded by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. It recognizes licensed marriage and family therapists who have met rigorous standards for education, supervised clinical training, licensure, and ethical practice in systemic therapy. Clinical Fellows are committed to ongoing professional development and adherence to the AAMFT Code of Ethics.
My Supervision Philosophy
I approach supervision through a relational and systemic framework. Rather than viewing symptoms as existing solely within an individual, we explore how they are shaped by interactions within relationships, families, communities, and larger social systems.
Together, we examine how clients' experiences are influenced by partners, families, race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, healthcare, education, work, and other systems that shape wellbeing.
Supervision is a collaborative process that encourages curiosity, intentionality, self-awareness, and thoughtful clinical decision-making. I strive to create a supportive environment where my supervisees feel challenged, encouraged, and empowered to grow.

As a Turkish American immigrant, I know what it feels like to navigate spaces where belonging is not always assumed. Creating environments where people feel accepted, valued, cared for, and that they truly belong is not only a professional value, it's deeply personal to me.
I strive to foster that same sense of psychological safety for both my clients and my supervisees because I believe meaningful growth happens when people feel seen, respected, supported, and appropriately challenged.

A Note About the LMFT Licensing Exam
While I am happy to support your overall clinical development throughout supervision, I do not provide formal preparation or tutoring for the LMFT licensing examination. Preparing for and studying for the exam is ultimately your responsibility.
That said, I genuinely enjoy supporting fellow clinicians along the way. Whenever possible, I'm happy to share study resources, practice exams, helpful materials, and strategies that I have found valuable or that have been recommended by other clinicians.
